VONCO V Receives Industrial Solid Waste Permit
VONCO V, a 70 acre Construction and Demolition Debris Landfill, has received an Industrial Solid Waste permit from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for its facility in Duluth, Minnesota. With these expanded capabilities, Vonco V is now one of the largest industrial landfills in northern Minnesota with total capacity in excess of 3 million cubic yards.
“We are excited about being able to offer clients in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin an additional option for industrial waste disposal," said Ian Vagle, vice president of landfill operations with VONCO. This expansion now positions us to grow our client base as the industrial sector in this region continues to experience a resurgence.”
Once the new industrial cell is constructed, VONCO V will be able to accept a wide variety of industrial wastes including contaminated soil, foundry and general manufacturing wastes, and ash. The facility will continue to accept construction and demolition debris and asbestos until the new cell is completed.
